Who is behind Atlas Clara?
I built this because I’ve been where you are.
My name is Mariana. I truly believe that moving abroad is one of the most rewarding decisions a person can make. I am passionate about new chapters and finding the places that actually align with our values and how we want to live.
But I also know that "living your best life" shouldn't require a year of burnout before you even arrive. I built Atlas Clara because I wanted to be the partner I never had during my own transitions.
Why work with me?
Lived Experience: I have relocated internationally twice while working full-time. I have navigated the bureaucracy, the housing market stress, and the healthcare confusion from the inside. I’ve moved for adventure, and I’ve moved for career growth. I know the overwhelm personally, and I turned that experience into a professional service.
Trained Researcher & Planner: I am not a "passionate amateur". With an academic background in Sociology and certified Project Management, I am a systems thinker.I don’t just collect information, I structure it, and I make complex information clear. My service is clean and operationally sound because that’s how my brain works.
Sociological Depth: My background means I look beyond the surface and the logistics. I dig into local history, politics, and institutional realities that others often miss, giving you a deeper understanding of your new home.
Operational Experience: With five years of experience in HR operations and payroll administration abroad, I understand the mechanics of the work/job market across different countries.
My Journey
I grew up in Porto, Portugal, by the banks of the Douro River. Since then, life has taken me to the UK (the island of Guernsey) and the Netherlands (Amsterdam), while I maintain strong ties to Portugal and Brazil.
I understand what it means to move between different systems, cultures, and expectations. I built Atlas Clara because I am the researcher I wish I’d had by my side.
